Off we went to Paulina Iowa to a hidden treasure in the middle of Northwest Iowa.  Don and Lanae knew about a State Park that was a great place to meet for the 4th of July.  We headed up there at about 9:30 on Wed. and literally beat the crowd.  Steaked out our place on the beach and enjoyed our afternoon.  We packed our lunches and sat in the sun and water all afternoon.  It was a great time with Don, Lanae, and Damian.  Mykala was in the water ALL afternoon!  She had a great time and could not get enough of the water.  The water was nice and warm and the weather was perfect.

By the time we headed for home we were all very tired and were read to be home for the evening.  we were in bed when local fireworks were going off.  We were to tired to get up and go outside to look at them.  And of course, the kids were already sleeping.
